MUST-HAVE SKILLS

The key person shall have the following mandatory skills/experience:
• Recognised qualification in video, animation, graphic design or visual communications;
• Demonstrable experience in producing video content suitable for social media channels;
• Fluency in verbal and written English;
• Experience of the complete cycle of designing and developing video content across a wide range of media (web, social media, presentations), preferably with technical/scientific content;
• Knowledge and practical experience of the video production process and project management skills;
• Interpersonal skills to handle a wide variety of internal and external customers;
• Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) software on Apple OS and Windows.

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

The following skills/experience would also be a distinct advantage:
• Experience of working independently on video projects from start to finish;
• Experience of working within a team for larger projects;
• Experience of working on technically or scientifically challenging projects in an international organisation;
• Experience working with streaming content on social media channels would be an advantage.

TASKS

The key person is required to provide services for Copernicus Social Media Content to the SCIR Division and the Copernicus Programme and Service Management Office for all stages of the design and production of engaging multimedia content for distribution on Client social media channels and web sites, and also for presentations. This shall include the development/design of storyboards and graphics, design development and final production for multimedia/video content, including social media live streaming, as well as the coordination/gathering of quarterly performance/operational data for the creation and updating of key graphics. All outputs shall adhere to the Client and EU Copernicus brand guidelines.

The following task areas shall be performed:
1) Video production – Design and production of video and other multimedia content for distribution and/or streaming on Client social media channels and websites, including storyboard development, filming, animation, editing and final production.
2) Operational performance key figures – Coordinate the gathering of key operational performance data on a quarterly basis, in cooperation with the Copernicus Programme and Service Management Office and the production/updating of key graphics/charts for the presentation of these figures in presentations and social media communications.

As a guide, the time focus of activities will be 90% on video production and 10% on the coordination of operational performance figures.
